Looking towards Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station on Somerset’s Bristol Channel coast. Not only is the Severn estuary prone to tidal surges but evidence of the 1607 tsunami - pebbles and pieces of broken shell – has been found up to four miles inland in South Wales and fourteen miles inland in Somerset.
